Chopta is a charming gem along the Ukhimath-Chamoli road, which connects Kedarnath to Badrinath through a more scenic and shorter route. Located 35 km from Ukhimath, this tranquil spot is a bend in a narrow, densely forested mountain road. It’s one of the quaintest places you’ll encounter, featuring the famous bugyals (meadows) that peek through towering trees, all framed by the majestic snowy peaks in the background. Chopta serves as the starting point for a 5 km trek to Chandrashila Peak and Tungnath, one of the Panch Kedar temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, alongside Kedarnath, Rudranath, Madmaheshwar, and Kalpeshwar.

Itinerary

  • Start from Delhi by 8 PM,

  • Pit stop at Devprayag to witness the stunning confluence of the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers.
  • Reach Chopta by noon and check in to your accommodation.
  • Freshen up and relax in the lap of nature.
  • You can opt for an acclimatization walk if you’d like.
  • Enjoy dinner and settle in for an overnight stay.

  • Wake up early to enjoy the beautiful sunrise.
  • Have breakfast and begin your trek to Tungnath.
  • Arrive at Tungnath and pay your respects at the highest abode of Lord Shiva.
  • Enjoy some refreshments before starting your journey to the breathtaking Chandrashila Peak (weather permitting).
  • Return to your accommodation by evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

  • Wake up to another beautiful morning and enjoy breakfast.
  • After breakfast, head to Sari Village, the starting point for the Deoria Tal trek.
  • Begin your trek to the breathtaking Deoria Tal.
  • Arrive at Deoria Tal and take in the stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
  • Trek back to Sari Village and prepare for your departure to Delhi.
  • Arrive in Delhi the next morning.

  • Reach Delhi by morning with amazing trip memories.

Inclusions

  • Entire travel as per the itinerary by Tempo Traveler.
  • 5 meals will be provided throughout the trip. 2 meals (day 1) + 2 meals (day 2) + 1 meal (day 3)
  • Accommodation for 2 nights in camps at Chopta.
  • Refreshment for the trek.
  • Team captain throughout the trip.
  • Driver charges, toll tax, parking etc.

Exclusions

  • GST (5%) is applicable extra.
  • Any other Food and Beverage charge that is not included in the package.
  • Any permit or entry tickets to viewpoints.
